About Me

My Background

Nadia Morcom is:

A well regarded literacy and language expert.

She is a highly qualified and experienced Special Education Teacher, Literacy Specialist and Primary Teacher wanting to make a difference in your child's learning. Nadia has successfully worked in both government and independent systems as a Support Teacher Learning Difficulties,  Regional Support Class Language Teacher and Learning and Support Teacher.

She is a past recipient of the Premier's Special Education Scholarship and an Excellence in Teaching Award

My Experience

I am a member of several professional educational and learning difficulties  organisations, including  SPELD, Learning Difficulties Australia and Accredited Tutor. Each year I attend a range of professional learning to ensure methods are supported by current research.  I have successfully worked in both government and independent systems as a Support Teacher Learning Difficulties,  Regional Support Class Language Teacher and Learning and Support Teacher.

I am a past recipient of the Premier's Special Education Scholarship and an Excellence in Teaching Award

Teacher Professional Learning

Teacher Professional Learning and workshops for schools. Professional learning is available for schools covering all aspects of the teaching of literacy and catering for diverse learners. Past topics have included language development and disorder, teaching vocabulary, making sense of text and evidenced-based reading programs.

Parent Workshops

 Parent Workshops  are  available on topics such as developing language skills, reading to your child, building early literacy skills, home reading and support homework.
